At Pediatricians, Inc we are embarking on a Medical Home Initiative with the support of our independent physicians organization Highland Health and our specialty network New England Quality Care Alliance (NEQCA). We aim to provide a comprehensive, family-centered medical home for all your medical needs through quality initiatives while maintaining a personal, compassionate approach to your medical care.

Introducing Emily Suther, MD

We are pleased to welcome Emily Suther, MD as the newest member of our practice. Dr. Suther joins us full time since completing her pediatric training at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, RI in June 2019.  She is a Certified Lactation Counselor and has clinical interests in breastfeeding and adolescent medicine.

Flu vaccine is now available for the 2019 - 2020 season. Call for a vaccine appointment. Weekend and evening flu vaccine clinics are no longer available. Please be aware that our vaccine supplies are dependent on distribution from the Dept of Public Health and can fluctuate. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Influenza

The winter months are a peak time for influenza viruses. However, the flu can circulate in the spring and fall also. Be prepared for treating flu symptoms with these basics:

Conjunctivitis (Pink eye)

Did you know that not all cases of conjunctivitis need antibiotic treatment? Visit this link to learn the facts about the different types of conjunctivitis and treatments.

Concussions

When recovering from a concussion, cognitive rest is just as important as rest from physical activity. A recent study confirms a faster recovery with appropriate cognitive rest.

Consider consulting the Pediatric Symptom Checker in our Useful Links section under Resources if you have questions about your child's symptoms.
